Chuck Mangione (Charles Frank Mangione, 29 de noviembre de 1940) es un músico y compositor que ha logrado el éxito internacional con su sencillo de jazz-pop Feels So Good, en 1977. Ha lanzado más de 30 discos desde la década de los 60's hasta la fecha. Su instrumento principal es elfliscorno, el cual, por su similitud tonal y fisica con la trompeta, suele ser confundido.

Nació y creció en Rochester, Nueva York. Mangione y su hermano pianista Gap, dirigieron el grupo The Jazz Brothers, con el cual grabaron 3 discos con Riverside Records. Asistió a la Eastman School of Music de 1958 a 1963. Posteriormente se unió al grupo Art Blakey´s Jazz Messengers, ocupando el puesto de trompetista, siendo influenciado por grandes maestros como Clifford Brown, Kenny Dorham, Bill Hardman y Lee Morgan. Mangione fue director del Eastman Jazz ensamble de 1968 hasta 1969 y en 1970 regresó a grabar el álbum Friends and Love, grabado en concierto con la Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra y numerosos músicos invitados. Su cuarteto con el saxofonista Gerry Niewood fue un concierto de los más memorables y grabado en disco a principios de los años 1970.

La canción de Mangione Chase the Clouds Away fue utilizada durante los Juegos Olímpicos de 1976 y el tema Give It All You Got fue el tema de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno en 1980 en Lake Placid, Nueva York. Ha tocado en vivo en grandes ceremonias transmitidas por la televisión a nivel mundial. En 1980 la publicación Current Biography nombró a Feels So Good como la melodía más reconocida desde Michelle de The Beatles. Recientemente las estaciones de radio que transmiten jazz en los Estados Unidos han reconocido a Feels So Good de Mangione como la canción número uno de todos los tiempos. Recolectó cerca de $50.000 dólares para la Iglesia de St. John's Nursing Home en su 60 Aniversario llevado a cabo en el teatro Estman en Rochester, Nueva York.

También ha tenido un rol recurrente en la serie de televisión animada del canal Fox llamada King Of The Hill, caracterizándose a sí mismo como una celebridad para Mega Lo Mart. El primer episodio de King Of The Hill caracteriza a Chuck Mangione y fue lanzado durante el día de San Valentín en 1998. El episodio trata de una grabación lanzada especialmente para celebrar la ocasión.

El evento fue organizado por su viuda, Olivia, y su hijo Dhani Harrison, mientras que la dirección musical recayó en manos de Eric Clapton, con todos los beneficios destinados a la fundación The Material World Foundation que Harrison fundó en 1973.

They were the greatest and most influential act of the rock era and introduced more innovations into popular music than any other rock band of the 20th century. Some said it couldn’t really be happening, that it was just publicity. The others said, they couldn’t last more than a month or two, that nobody could hang on to that kind of fame. The Beatles, of course, proved them wrong.

The “Fab Four” from Liverpool, England energized the lives of virtually all who heard them. Their arrival triggered the musical revolution of the Sixties, introducing a modern sound and viewpoint that parted ways with the world of the previous decade. They helped confer self-identity upon a youthful, music-based culture that flexed its muscle in myriad ways – not just as music consumers but also as a force for political expression, social commentary and contemporary lifestyles. 

They grabbed a hold of the international mass consciousness in 1964 and never let go for the next six years, always staying ahead of the pack in terms of creativity but never losing their ability to communicate their  increasingly sophisticated ideas to a mass audience. They synthesized all that was good about early rock & roll, and changed it into something original and even more exciting. They established the prototype for the self-contained rock group that wrote and performed its own material.

Wherever they went, they brought Beatlemania with them. They couldn’t help it; it was a form of real love. George would say many years later that the world used them as an excuse to go mad and then blamed it on the Beatles, but there is a parallel theory, that it was time for the world to go that sort of mad.

Of the four members of the world’s most famous band, the Beatles guitarist, George Harrison made the least effort at being a public figure, but despite this fact, the quiet Beatle earned a reputation as one of the most talented and influential individuals born to rock & roll.

George showed his independent nature at an early age, defying his school’s age-old dress code by wearing jeans and growing long hair. George was 12 or 13, when he heard Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” playing from a nearby house and was hooked, from that point on, the former good student lost interest in school. He sat at the back of the class and tried drawing guitars in his schoolbooks. At age 13 his mother bought him his first guitar.

In 1956, 14 year old Harrison joined the Quarrymen – which included John Lennon and Paul McCartney. When they changed their name to the Beatles in 1960, he was only 17 – the youngest of the Fab Four. (Read more)

Anonymous bloquea Radio Vaticano

Vatican Radio hacked by Anonymous Hackers

The hacktivist group Anonymous has taken down the Vatican’s website for a second time. 
March / 13th / 2012
The attack is part of the organization’s recent declaration of war against religion. The personal data of journalists at Vatican radio was leaked online and the Vatican's website hacked for the second time in several days both attacks believed to be the work of the amorphous Internet activist group Anonymous.

Unlike the first hack, which appeared to be a typical Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, this one is more than just taking down the website. Vatican officials declined to discuss the breach while the attack was still under way. 

"We regret having to announce that your systems are less secure than what you would like to believe, because, while the hype was directed toward the darkening of vatican.va, we took the liberty to implement a small incursion into your systems," the statement reads.

Anonymous justified its attack by claiming that Vatican Radio is responsible for high cancer rates in a neighborhood near the broadcaster’s main transmission facility.

TYLER, better than Wikileaks?

Anonymous going to launch wikileaks like project called TYLER

International hacker group Anonymous is going to create a WikiLeaks competitor scandalous leak portal called Tyler, for the publication of secret information from governments of various countries. One of the group’s members, who specified that he is representing the collective, spoke about the TYLER project and the rift with WikiLeaks in an email interview with the Voice of Russia. 
They have scheduled this new project to December 21 this year. According to the hacker, who requested anonymity, the conflict between Anonymous and the website of Julian Assange revolves around the forced funding techniques and lack of transparency... around money to WikiLeaks.

So far Anonymous defends WikiLeaks and Assange personally and supported the mission of the site to share information, news and classified information with the public. They even helped to publish more than 2 million emails, known as the Syrian file.

Since Assange has repeatedly threatened to close the WikiLeaks, hackers have decided to create their own platform for publishing secret government documents. According to Anonymous, Tyler will be a unique service project, as it will not have fixed the server - it will be based on the principle of decentralized or peer to peer network based on the equality of participants. Hackers claim that the attack or close the platform due to this will be impossible.

When asked about the future of WikiLeaks, the anonymous hacker said
“Julian has threatened on at least one previous occasion to pull the plug on the project because the fundraising was not meeting his expectations. It was at that time that Anonymous began planning to field our own alternative disclosure platforms. Julian desperately needs WikiLeaks, and he is the only one that can pull the plug on the project. I rather think that so long as he is in dire straits, he will not do so despite any threats from him to the contrary.”

In this case, it is unclear whether the hacker to interview to Russian media reflect the views of the entire community of anonymous or its individual fragments as haktivistite not acting in an organized group with a recognized leader.
