Tom Cruise Attends European Premiere of "Rock of Ages"
Tom Cruise has attended the European premiere of his new film "Rock of Ages" in London.

Cruise plays rock star Stacee Jaxx in the film, which is an adaptation of a popular musical of the same name, about a small town girl who has dreams of making it big in Hollywood.

The Mission Impossible star was joined on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square by co-stars Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti and Mary J. Blige.

Director Adam Shankman says fans can expect something special from Cruise's transformation into a rock star.

"Oh yes, he is unbelievable, he is better than I ever could have imagined he would be. I imagined he was going to be great, I couldn't have imagined he was going to be like this", said Shankman.

"Rock of Ages" opens in UK and US cinemas on Friday.
